I've received calls from seven NetApp salespeople offering to help me out and letting me know that they are indeed open. Seems I was originally trying to reach an outdated local contact (although he is still there) and the national sales number voice mailbox will now be updated.

Local sales rep call rolls to 'out of office' voice mail. CAll local sales office main number, 4 rings, and rolls to same voice mail. Find the 800 number on the web page for 'North American sales', it rolls to another 'out for the holidays, be back next year' message, but gives a toll number to call for assistance. Called that, it went to voice mail. 3 hours later, no return calls. I guess I'll have to purchase other vendors' hardware instead.
