Has there been any progress in eliminating Javascript from the NOW website yet, so people can use LYNX or other text based browsers to access the site? I remember Netapps said they would work on it a few months ago, just wondering if anyone knows the status...
A new site was created 1/6 http://download.netapp.com. You should be able to get software and firmware using lynx. I just tested it using lynx and all seems well. Hope this helps.
Well, that's a start, but the more important aspect of the NOW website would be the knowledge base. Yes, now we can get the files, but if the filer is down, getting the files is the least of our concerns - we wan't to know how to fix it. And if our systems are down and we are at a terminal, we need a way to browse the knowledge base.
The knowledge base is the key to fixing a problem, not downloading the latest firmware/hardware.
