Yes -- the 16TB size limit applies to both traditional volumes and aggregates.

We just added two shelves of disks to our R200, so it now has 6 shelves.
I put the first 4 shelves in one aggregate. According to the system storage configuration guide:

the R200 has a raw volume size limit of 16T. I think that this size limit applies to aggregates. Does anyone know for sure?
