OK, I guess I phrased my question poorly.
I want to make a LUN that will only be accessed by a Linux host. It will have a partition-table, and one partition in that partition-table. That partition will have a labeled ext3fs filesystem on it (Ubuntu's "mount LABEL=..." seems more reliable if I do it that way). Should I tell the NetApp that it's a "Windows" or a "Linux" LUN? Or will the NetApp behave exactly the same either way?
