Hello,
I have bought the cable to convert the 68 pins to 50 pins to connect the Network appliance F230 with a jukebox robotics Q2.15 ( with two tape drives - DLT 4000) that you told me. I have connect the Cable on the SCSI 0 of my Network Appliance and into the jukebox. The configuration that I receive executing the probe-scsi command is this :
root@araras[112]<bin>: probe-scsi -h paje Copyright (c) 1990-1999 by PDC probe-scsi BudTool 4.5 SCSI Bus 0 Target 3 Unit 0 Removable Tape Quantum DLT4000 CD5A Target 4 Unit 0 Removable Tape Quantum DLT4000 CD5A Target 6 Unit 0 Removable Jukebox Device BHTi Q2 1.50 SCSI Bus 1 SCSI Bus 2 root@araras[113]<bin>:
Like you see I'm installing budtool to do backup though one Solaris host where I'm installing the budtool software and using the NDMP with the Network Appliance where my jukebox is connected.
When I finish to install budtool he say me that the daemon is not running, and this is the REMINDERS file where it put the errors :
1 Failed to add the sjb device driver to the system. 2 An sjb device may already be loaded, or the file 3 /kernel/drv/sjb.conf may be missing or incorrect.
This is the configuration that I choice when I installed the budtool( There is some problem in install budtool and delete it ( rm -rf budtool), and the install it again to try install it correct). What is the process to me delete and install again ???
Here is the configuration ( jbmgr_config.araras.1) :
1 ROBOT_DEV_HOST paje 2 ROBOT_DEV_NAME /dev/spt0 3 ROBOT_SCSI_ID 6 4 ROBOT_SCSI_BUS 0 5 DATA_DEV_NAME0 nrst0a 6 DATA_DEV_HOST0 paje 7 DATA_DEV_NAME1 nrst1a 8 DATA_DEV_HOST1 paje 9 CLEANING_TAPE_SLOT -1,-2 10 PASSWORD XXXXXXXX (I change the password) 11 USEBARCODE Y
Could you help me, please ??. How I resolve the problems above. The problem I think that is with the drivers name or drivers path. Here is the /kernel/drv/ directory :
root@araras[44]<drv>: ls arp* ip.conf pem.conf sp* arp.conf isp* pln* sp.conf atapicd* iwscn* pln.conf spcic* atapicd.conf iwscn.conf profile* ssd* be* le* pseudo* ssd.conf bpp* lebuffer* pseudo.conf ssd.conf.11239853 clone* llc1* ptc* st* clone.conf llc1.conf ptc.conf st.conf cn* log* ptsl* stp4020* cn.conf log.conf ptsl.conf sy* conskbd* mm* qe* sy.conf conskbd.conf mm.conf qec* tcp* consms* openeepr* rtvc* tcp.conf consms.conf openeepr.conf sad* tl* dad* options* sad.conf tl.conf dad.conf options.conf sd* uata* ecpp* pci_pci* sd.conf udp* esp* pcmcia* se* udp.conf fas* pcmcia.conf ses* wc* glm* pcmem* ses.conf wc.conf hme* pcram* sjb xbox* icmp* pcram.conf* sjb.conf icmp.conf pcser* soc* ip* pem* socal* root@araras[45]<drv>:
And here is the sjb.conf :
1 # Configuration file for PDC's sjb driver. 2 3 name="sjb" class="scsi" 4 target=0 lun=0; 5 6 name="sjb" class="scsi" 7 target=1 lun=0; 8 9 name="sjb" class="scsi" 10 target=2 lun=0; 11 12 name="sjb" class="scsi" 13 target=3 lun=0; 14 15 name="sjb" class="scsi" 16 target=4 lun=0; 17 18 name="sjb" class="scsi" 19 target=5 lun=0; 20 21 name="sjb" class="scsi" 22 target=6 lun=0;
What will be the correct names to my tape drives and robotic ???. Remember that my budtool host are running Solaris.
TANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!!!!!!!
