That's not alot of data at all, or are you backing up Terabytes of data here? We've got the R200 as well, but that's for DR purposes, not backups.

That's really really really slow... I'd expect it to go much faster if you're only writing to disk. Even with the R200s not being the fastest boxes around...

So how do you write your data to tape? It sounds like you don't have a Virtual Tape Library (VTL) but an R200 acting sorta kinda like one.
Maybe I'm wrong...
