I just read a detailed news article about insurance underwriting for Cloud data, but I can't find the link anywhere. A web search just found a BBC article talking about how the UK wants to build a cyber-insurance business in general. The main problem is the lack of historical data. Insurers don't know how to calculate risks of a Cloud data breach because nobody can quantify how costly a typical breach will be.
I do know that Cloud is covered by many of the major carriers, though. Aon and the Zurich group, for example, can cover Cloud.

Hi:
We have spoken to our business insurance brokers about cyber liability and data breach insurance and they assure us that our internal storage is covered, but they will not cover data stored in a 'cloud provider' against cyber liability and Data Breach. Has anyone found a commercial insurance package that provides cyber liability and data breach coverage for data located on a commercial service like Salesforce.com?
Thanks, Mike
