Hi Frank,
the threshold determines the value to send a warning/info if it is exceeded. For example...
You have a quota for one user of 100 GB and the threshold is set to 80 you will receive a warning in e.g. DFM (Data Fabric Manager) if this user occupies 82 GB of space or more :D
