you shouldn't change your autosupport.support.transport setting unless you intend for asups that are going to NetApp (autosupport.support.enable == on) to have to go through your mailhost (in general http/https is preferred)
what do you have entered for autosupport.to ??
and does that forward correctly when you send email to it from other email clients that use the same mailhost ??

I'm toying with the "options autosupport.to" and am trying to put a alias in there as I have it defined in my NIS "aliases" map. The docs say up to 5 addresses can be in there but I want just one, my alias.
My specifics:
DOT = 6.5.4 autosupport.support.transport smtp autosupport.mailhost {our smtp relay host which has an alias set up, that works from other Unix Hosts}
When I do a "autosupport.doit" the error message is "Unknown User".
Anybody fiddle with this before?
