Hi everybody,
i am new to the whole netapp topic and right now i'm a little bit confused. Currently we run a FAS920 with a LUN for our exchange database. We use snapdrive and snapmanager to take snapshots of this system and here is my problem. As i was told LUN's do not need a "Snap reserve" in the traditional way so i changed this setting to 0%.
What i am wondering now is the output of df -hr total used avail reserved /vol/exchdata 700GB 428GB 271GB 89GB
The Lun is currently at 330 GB so i expected the reserved space to be 330 GB too, because i learned with LUN's it is the default and recommend setting to have it like that.
Can anybody help? Where does this 89 GB come from and is there a command to see how much space is currently reserved for this LUN?
Rgds and thanks in advance
Jochen
