I should have specified that I was referring to the Nearline units (plus FAS 250) for which 14 is the limit.

Maybe for 29, but not for 28. On most platforms the limits on raidsize are
Minimum Default Maximum raidsize raidsize raidsize
raidtype=raid4 2 8 14 raidtype=raid_dp 3 16 28
I am not sure whether one can cheat by using "aggr add ... -g ..." to expand a raid group beyond that. Larger legacy raid groups still work, apparently.
