Hi,
We are in the process of selecting a v-series NetApp cluster, which will act as an iSCSI/NFS/CIFS NAS gateway with an EMC Clariion CX3-40 or HDS USP-VM providing the backend storage. It's residing in 2 datacenters with transparent vlan's between the two locations.
The v-series will be configured as metrocluster, and will use SyncMirror on top of some dumb lun's as offered on each location by the respective CX3-40 or USP-VM of that location.
There is some FUD surrounding me that this is a less than ideal situation (both stability and performance).
Does anyone in the field have any experience with such a clustered HA setup?
