Why such an odd port? Certain places with odd firewall setups can't get there...
because our firewall doesn't block it. i'd be amenable to picking any port that we don't block, but that cuts out all the privileged ports and many of the rest, and i think anything else will be a problem for someone. i'm open to suggestions, though.
