You'll need to log a call regarding your cluster failover, but I can answer this one:
I can't use the Windows Hyperterminal keyboard, when console is pluged directly to com port of a windows PC. I was able to do it earlier..but not now..
Don't forget to turn flow control off. 9600 baud, no parity, eight bits, one stop bit, no flow control.
