that will allow NT to re-export a CIFS share via appletalk?
http://thehamptons.com/anders/netatalk/ This is the home page for the net-atalk package, which is primarily developed on Linux and works experimentally on others like Sun and SGI. I suggest using a unixlike OS to import from your Netapp, and export via Appletalk. I don't know if this will suit your needs, but this is a suggestion for what it's worth :)
We run samba and netatalk on a linux box (which mounts the filer). It works extremely well, and saved us the CIFS license (which is terribly expensive.
