Opened another case with NetApp, hopefully this helps ...

I called today and entered another ticket to reference bugid 10527. That is the only open bug about this RFE that Jamie at NA could find. He said that it was last updated on 1/4/2005 but he had no idea if it was being addressed. He also said that it looked like 7X would support V1 again. The way to get this to change is to have many different people call in and request it. If one or two of us request it they don't do too much but if a bunch of different customers yell they might look into it. When you enter your ticket, refer to the above bugid.
I hear the rallying cry now.... change that rev... change that rev! (kind of like "move that bus" but not near as many people in the crowd to chant).

This is sort of off-topic, but is there any known roadmap for an SNMP v2c or V3 implementation from NetApp? Just curious, since I'm also using cacti and am kind of sick of having to poll NetApp's "all interfaces" traffic OIDs.
I have also bugged them for years, no results. It is a shame that NetApp does not support SNMP v2c or v3, almost any other NAS vendor does, hell, even BlueArc has it!
Any ideas how to better lobby for this feature?
