The machine 'hitz' is a F760 in my lab running 5.3. At the back of the machine I turned one power supply off then back on, repeat with the other. The messages were generated to the console, system logger and as event notification email.
This particular 760 is running on 220v in the new cabinet. For 110v you might want to have the power supply monitored through a 24 hour cycle for adequate amperage, out of tolerance fluctuations and possible power conditioning needs.
Regards, Tim.

Where did you get those "Power supply OK!" messages from? We've had a lot of false "Power supply failed" messages so that the power supply itself was not broken but it had a dip. But we never had the Ok messages. :( If we did, it would have spared NetApp a number of shipments of power supplies. ;-)
