We have a similar problem; After a power outage, we received no auto reports It seems that if the mailhost is not up for even a short time (or the DNS servers are unavailable because of temporary network disruption) when the filer attempts to send mail, it simply doesn't. I wish it would wait for just a few minutes and try again. If it is something else, please, help.
We already place the main network connection at the top of the list of devices to "ifconfig"(that was a source of many errors for a while) per NetApp support.

A few weeks ago somebody on the list told me about an option that could be set to help debug a lack of autosupport mail after reboot. autosupport works fine, except occasionally there will be no autosupport mail when a system reboots. (5.2.3).
I lost the mail. Hopefully whoever it was can send it to me again. Sorry to bother the whole list with this.
Thanks, Graham
