My company keeps boxes of new floppy disks stocked as office supplies with all the other office supplies like pens, paper, staples, etc. So I can always grab a box of fresh floppies any time I need them. I'm amazed other companies don't do the same.
Also, perhaps I'm just lucky, but not only have I never needed to boot off the floppies, except for once doing a firmware upgrade, but I've never had to run wafl_check either.
