That doc was last updated in 2001. SnapRestore prior to 6.0 required a reboot for any volume. Starting with version 6.0 SnapRestore requires a reboot only when reverting the root volume.

My "Data Protection Guide" says only if you snap restore the root volume will the filer will reboot which makes sense to me. The following is from Section 5.1 of the above referenced doc. I think this is an error in the doc.
Can anybody confirm this for me?

A reboot of the filer will occur. After the filer has rebooted, you can start the database back up again:
