I understood and agree with the original RFE but doing it both ways round would be extremely neat and elegant. A cluster could even do resiliant dhcpd which is a pain to do conventionally[*].

[*] You either have to hand out addresses from diffenent ranges or have one machine as a standby and hack up a mechanism for detecting that the primary has fallen over.
