All -- have a FAS2040C and DS2246 in a remote office where a scheduled power outage is planned for a 48 hour period (longer than UPS runtime at that location). We currently have no on-site staff available.
Is it possible to cleanly shut down this device and bring it completely back up via the Service Processor module only?
The main piece I'm unsure of is the DS2246. If it uncleanly loses power, will it come back on automatically or does something physically need to be done?
Obviously for the controller we can log into the SP and do a 'system power on'. Maybe that command is smart enough to send a signal to the disk shelves as well?
Any way to verify disk shelf power status remotely from the SP?
I'll note that we do have ACP set up and working. It _sounds_ like this may help / do what we need, but having a hard time finding confirmation.
FYI -- per support, this should be pretty straightforward. The disk shelf should power back on automatically after which we can initiate OS boot up via the service processor.
