Eric,
To answer your question, the S500 is not yet Oracle certified but NetApp is working on this.

Tim

good morning,
Thank you for this information,
do you (or somebody else on the list) know whether the StoreVault product(s) are or will be certified for usage with Oracle database as described in http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/availability/htdocs/vendors.html ("Network Appliance" is mentioned, not Data ONTAP).
regards, eric

OK, one more time. Sorry. * Software support is 9x5 or 24x7 * No SupportEdge, no customer-specific custom patches,
SAM, Quarterly audits * No Software subscription plan support available * No "investment protection" to enterprise customers such as upgradeability * No GSC support (call in to a different center) * Limited express parts replacement (Next business day shipment is standard with 4 hour onsite only in big ("NFL") cities , and may require a chassis swap)

* NO external storage supported * FC support available in the Fall/2006 Software: * Data ONTAP SVE (StoreVault Edition) -

Has anyone seen this device? Any thoughts? What are the limitations as compared to
"regular" filer? Thanks
