Your listing does not show the (1) for the foreign volume
That appears to be the bug - the code to handle plugging in disks from foreign volumes on a live system appears not to be correctly handling the case where the volume name is the same as the name of an existing volume, and isn't setting it up to have the "(1)" or whatever in the name.
