Many thanks to those that replied to my quotas question. Today I'm actually just trying to run the quota report, but I can't seem to properly set a quota. After setting what I believe to be correct I go to turn quotas on. I either get a directory error or a quota size error.
Are there any known bugs with ONTAP 5.3.6r1 when it comes to quotas? Below is the syntax for two of our directories that we wish to get quota data on. How would I gather data for the home and public directories, on a per user basis?
Home /vol/vol0/users/private public /vol/vol0/users/public
Just so you know I was experimenting, trying to figure this out myself. This unfortunately caused a core dump which had us down for about 2 hours today. Fortunately everything is ok and I'm ftp'ing the core to NetApp as we speak. (I was using filerview, and after selecting 'quotas on' the browser froze and the F740 dumped core - We had to reboot from floppy as we had a continous core dump cycle going on)
I am hesitant to touch quotas now :)
Again, thanks in advance. -Robert
