If NetApp would release an OnCommand Report that would support both versions it wouldn't be so bad but until then I'm running 2 instances of 5.2 one for c mode 8.2 and the other for 7 mode systems.
The 6.0 appliance is great but the other products have to play catch up with it.

Thanks Tom and John.
This is … unfortunate news.

Hi Scott,
I have the same thoughts about that as you, so I contacted the Oncommand Product manager a few months ago. DFM 5.2 will be the last version for 7-mode as this fits in the NetApp strategy of pushing customers to go to clustered ontap.
DFM 6.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up and will only support clustered ontap, it will never be able to support 7-mode.

Hi,
With the release of OnCommand Core 6.0 For Clustered OnTap (phew!), has anyone heard about the future of OnCommand Core (henceforth "DFM") for 7-Mode? Are we seeing the end of feature releases for DFM, and 5.2 is now in perpetual maintenance mode like OnTap 7.3.7? I have no plans or reason to transition to cluster mode and certainly won't do it just to get the latest version of DFM, but I do use the crap out of DFM (GUI, CLI, Protection and Provisioning managers, SnapMirror/Vault management, RBAC, controller user account management, controller config management, etc) and, like any other application, it's always got bugs and issues. I hate to think that DFM is at the end of the road unless I go to cluster mode.
Kinda like Microsoft releasing a new version of Office but it only works on a Surface tablet.
