U can mix ......if u have 36 * 4 and 72 * 4 in a raid group....the totalsize is 36*4 + 72*4,

I believe you can mix drives sizes in a raid group. The largest just becomes the new parity drive in a brand new raid gorup, otherwise it gets chopped if you added it to a smaller group after the fact. I have made raid groups with 72 and 36 drives just for fun and found this to be the case.
