I am told that the footprint is different. This stops resourceful people buying a 760 spares kit and upgrading thier cheaper 740. But I am not sure about any of the other parts. I had a Unisys engineer here once who fitted 700 series Eth. Adpators to a 500..it did'nt work, but the machine did'nt blow up either ;-)
