Thanks to all those who replied. Looks like I got the whole thing wrong :) After checking the logs and doing some more tests we found that OSSV does backup ZFS volumes, its only that it fails to backup (incremental/updates) empty mount points and there's a snapvault.cfg override for that too. So we are now testing to see if that works for us. Also others have confirmed that they are indeed backing up zfs volumes using OSSV. So all's good. Hope you all have a great weekend.
