All disks have to be NSE within an HA pair in cDOT. No mixing of NSE and non-NSE disks in an HA pair.
So, for example, you could have a 8020 pair with all NSE drives, and an 8040 pair with non-NSE drives, in a four node cluster.

Quick and easy question I hope. Is there any reason I would not be able to add a shelf or two of encrypted disks to an existing 8040 with active aggregates and create an encrypted aggregate out the new disks only. (leaving the existing aggr unencrypted)
