we had the same thing happen recently. The only way to clear this is to bounce the filer and then delete the snapshot.
There is a bug report on the NOW site for this.

my veritas server crashed during an ndmp backup of my 740 and there is a snapshot_for_backup that is busy and will not let me delete it. it says it is in use by dump or cifs share. any idea how to clear this out?
