the only thing you can do is to send an "init" trap to test if communications between NetApp and SNMP framework is ok.
From the CLI
snmp init 1
You should see on the framework a trap with 789 in the OID that's coming from storage.
There's no Telnet client. Let's do the right job to the firewall guys :) Regards,

Hi Folks, How do I trigger snmp trapp to test SNMP setup? Is there anything similar to "telnet" command to test if firewall is open? There used to be another utility "tcp_client" that could work, but now it is gone as well
