I could have used those earplugs recently, when two days after I spent 23 hours replacing a failing F540 with a new F740, the F740 failed. 10 hours later, we figured out it was the FC controller, replaced the motherboard (thank god the se had another F740 in his office and that he thought to bring it with him), and two hours later had the system up and running. We have a spare FC PCI card now, too.
It would seem it's a bigger problem than just the F760s. :-(

In the immortal words of Ron Neuenberger (ron@cybercowboys.com):
If anyone has received a new 760 with the on board fibre channel, make sure your SE had an additional fibre card available as a spare. They are have serious problems with the onboard fibre cards and they don't have any replacement at this time. I have lost 2 now and am waiting for a replacement, meanwhile I am down. Just didn't want this to happen to anyone else.
Allow me to add my voice to that, underlined and in boldface. Bad juju, kids, and don't let it happen to you.
On the plus side, during my encounter with this issue, I discovered that a set of $0.35 foam earplugs can significantly reduce the amount of tinnitus and head pain normally caused by 18+ hour stretches in a machine room.
