Hello,
Please be aware that we are investigating a couple of issues with quotas in Data ONTAP 7.2.5. As a precautionary measure, we have removed Data ONTAP 7.2.5 from the NOW site as we investigate the issues. We will provide an update as soon as more information is available.

We've just moved to Ontap 7.2.5 to solve a panic problem with our previous 7.2.2 release. However we've immediately been hit with another panic which appears related to quota initialisation.
The bug number/title says :-
300385 / Quota doesn't seems to be prealloc while handling multiuser members
But we have less than 1000 entries in our user quota file for this volume, although it is mixed mode and draws from a user population of around 25,000 across AD and NIS.
Currently we are running without quotas; not good for an extended period because we have downstream repercussions related to snapvault replicas which are designed to be 'near limit'.
Just a warning for anyone with similar user numbers to be aware of.
