Thanks Steve,
That is entirely what I thought but, if there was a way, I figured the answer would be out here.
Sigh,
So I'm building a new TSM host for my shop to run manage the 3500, but I'm also leaving this position in 2 weeks... I wanted to see this work at least in theory (IE: Filer dump direct to the drive I now see there via X2051A) , and now realize I have to step up my time table if I want to see it all work, and finish the Solaris 10 host, install HBA, Zone it, install Tivoli, config NDMP in Tivoli....
Thanks for the bad news. :-)

Bob,
Data ONTAP(R) has no console commands for manipulating the changer. Library operations are expected to be done via NDMP or through a separate management interface into the library.

I've just added a SAN based IBM 3500 (with 3592 EO5 drives in it) to my Nearstore R200 running 7.2.4. I now see a changer "mc0" on the filer.
I'd like to test the datapath to the drive from the filer and run a filer dump command, but the IBM guys say there is no way to mount a tape
via their web interface. (I have yet to configure the changer in Tivoli)
Is there autochanger commands in OnTap ? I want to mount a tape via OnTap. I don't see any reference in the Data Protection Guide....
TIA
