We're looking at taking our Gigabit II Ethernet card and the 10/100 interface that comes with our 740 and creating a VIF. We already have assigned individual IP addresses to the respective interfaces, the question that I have is by setting up the VIF now do we still keep the configurations for the individual cards?
In other words... each individual interface has it's own IP address assigned to it, but when you create a VIF, you assign an IP address to it. So do you have to keep the addresses assigned to the individual interfaces AND assign another IP address to the VIF, or can I remove the IP addresses from the individual interfaces and assign one of them to the VIF?
