Yes, though not without problems. There are clients for NT and Linux (though no support or GUI for Linux and libc6 is required). There is a legato client for NetApp in the wings though we have been told to not expect it before May which I interpret to mean after summer and a storage node even further in the future. At present you need to use an NFS or CIFS client, we have tried both and they both work, it remains to be seen as to whether the native backup will be faster. One of the open questions in my mind is support for FC tapes, it isn't a problem for you but we see the need for using SmartMedia and that implies FC tapes but I haven't heard of any plans to test them.
BTW, I am not sure what sort of an investment you have in Networker but our opinion is that you should try anything else first. We have a fairly large investment in Networker but we plan to migrate if we can find something better.
