Hey Fletcher!
I don't know what filerview will do, but if you try to use the command line to delete a snapshot that is backing a flexclone, it will return with an error along the lines of "unable to delete, snapshot in use". I don't know if filerview will make the attempt and then return the error, or will just prevent the attempt in the first place. I suspect the former but I've never used filerview, always the command line.
On the other hand, if you're trying to remove the "normal" snapshots, you should be able to do that without any problems. Whether you get space back depends on what is contained on those snapshots, and what blocks the filer needs to keep around to maintain integrity for the remaining snapshots.

Hi, We routinely cleanup snapshots via filerview and recently started using flexclones, which show up in the snapshot view as “busy, vclone – Busy” For this volume there are similarly named snapshots listed as “normal” We’d like to delete those to reclaim the space, but want confirmation they are not going to affect the mounted vclone(flexclone) volumes. Basically I am asking will filerview prevent me from deleting these snapshots if they are associated with an actively mounted flexclone? (
