OK , I stuck my foot in my mouth. Sorry. Found out that this will work for the Seagate LTO's but not the HP LTO. HP LTO have different incompatible compression algorithms .

Stop. That's not true. You can use the /etc/cloned_tapes file to have the HP LTO drive emulate an IBM LTO drive. The same works also for the Seagate LTO drives.

Don't know if you have a channel partner who can help this guy, but perhaps you can forward to the appropriate Program Manager who can speak to the status of NetApp OSN certification for the M1500 (I'm only familiar with certified configs for P1K/2K/3K/6K).

Check the NOW site and it is not listed as supported library.
Currently looking into the M1500 LTO Drives for a few systems. Has anybody got any success in implementing this library for the filer?
