It's been quite a while since I set it up, but I ended up just using the contents of the configuration files as a reference and built a new configuration for the then current version of MRTG on the then-current Red hat Linux box I installed it on.
IMHO, it would be better to just have the configuration information distributed by NetApp to be used with whatever MRTG you have rather than trying to deal with a separate source/binary distribution that will almost certainly be out-of-date most of the time.

Are there a lot of people using the filer-mrtg "unsupported" package from Netapp. I found a few things buggy in it, i.e. It freaks when getting data on a 6.4.1 firmware level, and it freaks when the counters get too high, causing negative numbers and bad graphs.
I have some fixes, but was wondering if there was a maintainer out there for it?
Jerry
