While this doesn't answer your main question, I just wanted to mention that I am running OC 5 on 64bit RHEL 5.7.
It's no different than 4.0 if you use the http://DFM/dfm/welcome URL. If you go to the default http://DFM/ then you get the new fancy interface, but the old DFM is still there and works fine. They got rid of fsrm but my old fsrm license carried over and still works. I don't use any of the other OC products (host package, balance, etc), but the OC 5 core is just a straight upgrade of DFM and works the same.

I am not the primary user of DFM and would like to have the primary user be able to do some testing and looking around before trying to make a more permanent switch. For those who will ask, I'm not going straight to OnCommand yet because I don't know enough about it yet. There are also several packages that seem to only run on Windows, and some that mention only running on 32 bit OS and hardware. We are primarily a linux lab and I don't want to have to set up a Windows server or have to go to Goodwill and try to find a 32 bit server :-)
