Question:
Can I hot add the ESH4 shelves to the ESH2 chains if I set the speed to 2Gbit? Or must ESH4 shelves be on a separate chain? All disks are FC, I am not trying to mix SATA and FC shelves.
It will work fine to have the modules mixed, but they all have to be set to the speed of the slowest module. You'll also get this warning in your logs:

RAS.suggestion INFO Channel 0a, Mixing ESH/ESH2/ESH4 I/O modules is fully supported on a FC loop. However, for improved reliability migration to homogeneous ESH4 configurations is recommended.
