I saw that exact problem about 2 weeks ago; F210 running 100t-fd to a Cisco 2900 and ultimately to a Sun Ultra1 running 2.5.1. The OS on the F210 was 4.0.4N_970627_1000. The Cisco 2900 was showing an incredible number of framing errors. A quick cable replacement did not help.
We upgraded the filer to 4.2a, and the problem immediately went away.
Unfortunately, due to the production status of the filer, we weren't blessed with the time to just do a quick reboot of the filer under the old OS to see if a simple reboot might have solved the problem.
Is anyone else out there running F210's or F230's on Cisco 2900s? I can't convince the Cisco to automatically handle full duplex, forcing me to put the filers on the supervisor card ports which can (more easily than the auto-configure ports) be configured for full duplex.
-We use "hard, intr,bg" for an NFS v2 mount with a NetApp connected to a -2.5.1 Ultra box with a crossover cable. Works like a charm for us, as a -News spool.
We use soft,intr,bg,proto=udp,vers=3 for this particular filer, and vers=2 on most of our other f2[13]0 filers.
