Hear, hear! I've said almost the exact same words at every support person I've ever spoken to (and some people higher). I even offered to purchase the music myself.
In the end, I decided against hurting someone because I decided it would be too embarrassing to have to describe the situation to others in federal prison:
"So what are you in for?" "Murder." "And you?" "Armed robbery." "What about you?" "Kenny G. It all started with this NetApp support call..."
It's not like they wouldn't understand, but still.
