I would like to hot-backup my machines from my ESX 3.0 server. I have No Virtual Center..
I'm thinking about having a shared vol on my NetApp.
To this I would backup my hot machines through ESX snapshot backup (VCB ? )
Then from my Windows 2003 server i would connect to the VOL with software iSCSI and backup the files.
I have it working with Windows seeing the vol fine and formatting it to NTFS. But then ESX can't use it. And I have it working the other way round - but then my Windows can't see VMFS files.
I this possible in any way ?
