A long time ago, we used to use Syntax's TAS server to serve the same set of data for CIFS and AFP clients, in addition to the native NFS on the Sun box it was hosted on. I believe you can "re-share" an NFS mount from a filer through the server host which runs TAS, too, so this might work for you:

When we no longer required Macintosh file server support, we quickly moved away from TAS because in comparison to a filer, pulling data through TAS is like sucking big rocks through a narrow straw.
