Since you've been talking mbx and maildir over NFS, you'll want to keep in mind that NFS is an optional protocol on the Dell PowerVault 7X0 series -- CIFS being the main protocol. I don't know what adding NFS does to the price. I wonder what kind of NFS tech support Dell can provide....
