Hmm, well we're busily configuring such a beast, an R200 with one volume with 21 disks and another with 7. With double parity and default 14-disk raidgroups that give two volumes, one with one full raidgroup and one less-than-full raidgroup, and another volume with one less-than-full raidgroup.
Nothing's stopped us yet...
