We haven't implemented snapshots because we have a single volume and it hasn't been manageable. We now have budget to buy some more disk shelves and want to move our database files to another volume and snap this.
In looking at white papers on the Netapp site it leads me to beleive that I need to stop the db and snap and then restart. I would like to just run a snap every 15 minutes without stopping the db, so I can always fall back to a previous snapshot, can or are any of you doing this?
