We are a primarily Unix environment and are placing a netapp in for a shared filesystem.
We are told that the Samba PDC will not work to authenticate the filer in CIFS. We've also tried Sun's NetLink software that emulates a PDC with no luck.
Is there any way to get encrypted passwords to the filer without using a "real" NT server PDC?
